Sunflower seeds oil contains wax up to 0.6% which is required to be removed by dewaxing stage to avoid haziness and crystal clear appearance of finished product. The lye mixed oil is cooled to crystallization temperature and given retention time in crystallizers which are provided with agitator for gentle agitation and cooling coils inside. After achieving the desired temperature the mass is moved through centrifugal separators where the waxes are separated as heavy phase and dewaxed oil as light phase.
